The Bowers & Wilkins 802 D4 offers much of the performance of 801 D4, included the same Turbine Head enclosure for its midrange cone, yet is more affordable overall. Perfect for reference-grade stereo listening and also an excellent choice in home theatre applications.
The dedicated midrange cone uses four proprietary Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST, Biometric Suspension and midrange decoupling, the latter ensuring minimal interference from the loudspeaker’s bass drivers.
As with 803 D4, 802 D4 builds on the proven and highly successful cabinet design of its predecessor, the 802 D3. Its midrange motor system has been substantially revised and upgraded, it includes the all-new Biomimetic Suspension for its FST Continuum Cone midrange drive unit, and like 803 D4 it introduces both a revised plinth form and Anti-Resonance Plugs for its Aerofoil low-frequency drive units.
