Naim NAC 102 Preamplifier

The highly versatile NAC 102 provides first class sound quality, user configurable inputs, full infra red remote control and a host of other features. Experience gained during years of research and development of our state-of-the-art NAC 52 has been employed to provide novel engineering solutions in the quest for performance and flexibility.

Capable of being powered even by the supplies built into our smaller power amplifiers, the NAC 102 enables correct system hierarchy to be maintained without compromising future upgrading: its performance can be improved by adding separate audio and digital power supplies when required.

The key to this ability lies in a system of connectors on the rear panel, which can be configured easily to accept different power sources. For example, a hi-fi system using, say, a NAP 140 with a NAC 102 could be radically improved by adding a Hi-Cap to power the pre-amplifier's audio circuitry.

In addition, sound quality can be further enhanced by adding a NAPSC to power the digital control circuitry of the pre-amplifier, reducing noise and significantly improving performance.

The NAC 102 features six line-level inputs, one of which can be converted for use with a range of phono cartridges by fitting optional 5-series plug-in boards.

Engineering is to Naim's usual high standards with the NAC 102 using our full-width, extruded aluminium case, which provides screening from electromagnetic fields as well as a strong, durable housing.
